Welcome

Thank you for visiting my site. I'm a landscape designer specializing in custom residential gardens. My gardens reflect my background in studio art, art and architectural history, and landscape architecture grounded in horticultural knowledge, environmental concern, and personal study of nature.

My approach is a collaboration with the client resulting in a beautiful and unique garden that responds to patron and site needs. The outcome is a garden that continually surprises and delights with changes throughout the year; one with interest whether viewed from a distance or within the garden. I am passionate about the environment and include many sustainable strategies in my designs. As a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) enthusiast I am well versed in the point system and the advantages of qualification for LEED status, including savings in cost of ownership and regional and federal tax incentives.

I have been fortunate enough to collaborate on DIY network programming with the producers at Jay TV for a number of years. We have worked together on nearly 100 episodes of DIY's Desperate Landscapes with my responsiblities including landscape design, plan graphics, and statements to be incorporated into the script regarding plant facts and design principles. The show focuses on transforming the public face of the worst house in the neighborhood into one of the most beautiful; participants recieve a new front yard worth thousands of dollars. I have also contributed to Desperate Landscape's Holiday Special, America's Most Desperate, Blog Cabin, and Backyard Blitz shows.
